Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei episode 8 (episode review)

Spoiler Alert!

We see Tatsuya and Miyuki training with their sensei for a competition. The counselor shows up and she's actually also a student of their sensei and she was a counselor as a disguise. At school after the football game with weird helmets a guy starts talking to Leo and Tatsuya. He is Erikas childhood friend. When Erika shows up she says that he's been avoiding her the latest 6 months and it's pretty obvious that he likes her and that's probably why he avoided her. 

Tatsuya gets nominated to be an engineer since the school is short on engineers. Some people aren't approving and has to shows his skills. He gets the job. When he gets a call from and old guy.The guy says that he has a hard core security system around his home (wonder why that's needed) and that Tatsuya need to be on his guard on that competition. In the end Miyuki comes in to Tatsuya in a dress (looks like a fairy dress to me) that she is going to use for the competition and Tatsuya has developed flying magic. Miyuki tests the device he put his creation in and then she really seems like a fairy just look at the pic. He says that this is going to be a part of his plan. I wonder what plan that is.
