Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Episode 21 (Episode Review)
Saving Shizu-san's students
We have the students Kenya, Ryota, Gale, Alice, and Chloe. Starting with a very unenthusiastic roll call with no answers, Rimaru puts them in place using Ranga. He starts off with a test that is received with reluctance at first. A game where they let can let out frustrations, one-on-one battle against Rimaru, and 10 min time limit. Rimaru did this with the intent to burn off the excess magicule energy. All of them lose and the energy hasn't been reduced. It is stated that "The energy fused with them cannot be separated from them".
Something weird is the impression Rimaru gets from Chloe. In the last episode, we already saw Veldora react to her and now she gives off some kind of nostalgic feeling for Rimaru. There is also the scene where he pets her head when she starts crying and under his hand, she oddly enough starts smiling. Why is that? Is it a smile because of trust or a suspicious smirk? Gains their trust.
Heading to the Dwelling of the Spirits
Rimaru visits Treyni, with the idea of having superior spirits to inhibit their bodies like Shizu. They can be found in the Dwelling of the Spirits ruled by the Queen of Spirits, there are several entrances. Treyni no longer has any connection to the current queen of Spirits thus no entrance. We see a slight appearance of Shizu's spirit. In the midst of their picnic and combat training, a sky dragon appears and heads towards the city. Rimuru goes after it and defeats it. A merchant, Mjolmire invites Rimaru and the students to dinner because he was saved from the dragon. With his network, he recognized that the warrior was Rimaru despite his disguise. Rimaru invites him to the city to handle trading. A lady from the store knew about the Dwelling of the Spirits and with some bribing, they found out its location and are now heading there.
Similar to the last episode, there is not much happening but rather just some build up and switching of locations. We get to see the students abilities. Rimaru is trying to figure out ways to save the children and he found a merchant to handle the handling of goods for the city.
