Ones that cannot be controlled
The episode starts off with Subaru and his editor discussing the design for the cover of his first to be released volume, with this the suggestion of having an autograph event is brought up. Subaru, as expected, turns it down immediately as he in his head states that he avoids any situation he can't control. The thought passes through his head as the doorbell rings and he is faced with Hiroto, 3 kids, and a girl. This turns into a day of playing and hosting. They end up ordering Chinese food as the kids start playing.

Nagisa, Hiroto's little sister who Subaru met when she was a toddler and now a high school student, seems to have a crush on Subaru. She tells him about how she works at the school library and asks about book recommendations. He gets flustered from the question like when Nana's little brother recommended his own novel to him. Subaru leaves the room and returns with a book he read when he was her age.

He pets her and as he thinks back to the day he realizes that it's okay to be in situations where you're not in control once in a while. He decides to do the autograph event. The house gets livelier in every episode so of course, the next step is having a couple of kids come to raid the home. In this episode the anti-social isolated Subaru is yet again exposed to more people and as a host gets to be more social.

Things really go full circle in this episode but also the series, overall. The world sure is small, the food delivery was the mother and child that used to feed Haru and the girl's name, that Haru(cat) thought meant food is now her name. Eventually we get back to the scene when Haru and Subaru fall asleep on the floor, as she approaches him she gets a flashback to Tora again saying "don't ever let your guard down" and as she gets closer she thinks that it's ok to let down her guard because it's Subaru.
The two are closer as a family now. Subaru is exposed to more social situations where learn how to interact, to trust, and to understand others and Haru. And Haru who used to be a stray cat living in the world of "survival of the fittest" doesn't have to live with her guard up and now has a safe place, a home. Both of them are learning to live together and act more like a family as every episode passes.
