Ao Haru Ride episode 1 (episode review)

Spoiler Alert!
First we see Futaba in middle school running to a shrine to get shelter cause it suddenly started raining. She sees that Tanaka-kun is also there and they have a cute moment together. I love the backgrounds but since the backgrounds are water colored the characters looked out of a place some times but I still like it. Anyway she talks a bit about a festival coming up. In school later he asks her if they could go together to the festival and she accepts. She gets asked by some other guy what there is between her and Tanaka and she ends up saying that she hate guys, Tanaka heard. When she waits at the festival he never shows up and when school starts again she finds out that he transferred.

Then we get to the present when she's in high school. At school we see her act unfeminine and find out that she does it cause when she was in middle school the girls didn't like her because she cute and gets the guys attention so she acts like that to prevent it from happening again. Later when it's lunch and she's on her way back from buying food with her friends she bumps in to a guy that says that the bread she's eating is unattractive and he reminds her of Tanaka even though he's so different. She runs after him, turns around, smiles at her and then a guy comes and call him Mabuchi so she left confused. After school she's walking home she see him again walking in front of her and he goes in to the shrine then she was sure it was him. She finds out that he changed his name cause his parents divorced. In school the day after Mabuchi saves her when she was accused of stealing and he says that her friends aren't real friends. 

Well so far I think it's my favorite romance of the season and i'm looking forward to the next episode even though i already know what's going to happen.
