Nisekoi (anime review)
Episodes: 20
About: Raku Ichijou is an average high school student. He also happens to be the sole heir to the head of a Yakuza Family called the Shuei-gumi. Ten years ago, Raku made a promise... a secret promise with a girl he met. They promised one another that they will "get married when they reunite". Since then, Raku never let go of the pendant the girl gave him. Then one day, a beautiful girl named Chitoge Kirisaki transfers into Raku's class. Their chemistry was more than off. There was not a moment where they were not fighting. But by a weird turn of events, Raku and Chitoge agree to become fake lovers. Although his heart is really interested in his classmate Kosaki Onodera, Raku must continue pretending to be Chitoge's boyfriend.
Characters: Raku Ichijou is a high school student who is good a cooking, kind and is the son of a Yakuza. Even though he's the heir of Yakuza family he doesn'r want to become a boss and just want to live a normal life. He made a promise with a girl when he was a kid. There is a girl in his class name Onodera that Raku has liked for a year. She has a cute and kind character and also likes Raku. I like her character but I'm annoyed with that she doesn't do anything herself to get him. Chitoge is a girl who kneed Raku in the face the first time they meet. She is strong and beautiful which makes her kind of popular but she doesn't know how to start getting along with people.
Plot: There is a lot of cliches in this anime but the series sure make them really good. The transfer student cliche(not once, not twice but three times), hot spring episode and the common archetypes are some examples. I love the comedy, there are a lot of scenes that make me laugh. The promise that he has with one of the girls is a bit unique and it makes you think who it might be. I like that you hear and see what Raku thinks. More girls keep appearing through the series. The series is lighthearted and has lot of funny and cute moments.
Art: It's the animation Studio Shaft that made this and I like it a lot since it has an unique style. The backgrounds are cute and colorful, the animation also gets really funny in the comedy moments. I like the character designs especially on Chitoge. What I don't like is that it's some times concentrate more on the fan service cause I don't think the series has to be like that.

Music: The music really suit the scenes whether it's just a scene when they're talking, funny scene och a scene where someone's shocked or embarrassed. Th opening and endings are sound cute and pretty.
I enjoyed this series a lot and plan on reading the manga to find out what happens next.
