Ao Haru Ride chapter 44 (chapter review)

So Kou asked Yoshioka on a date last chapter and she turns him down while hesitating first. She says that she won't go but not that she doesn't want to go. She runs into Kikuchis friend and he's not the best fan of Yoshioka. But it's should be like since his best friend is going out with her and she walking around still hesitating about Kou. I know that it can be hard to forget feelings like that but she trying.
She meets Kikuchi later and they have decided to go on a date after watching Kikuchi perform on Christmas. After that they go to the student ranking charts and since Kou is doing good he might switch to advanced class and she hesitates a gain. Kikuchis friend noticed when she stared at Kou and asks if she's always been a b*tch. But she holds Kikuchis hand when she realizes that. She notices that she didn't hesitate then so she has gone a bit forward. On the way home she bumps into Kou and he stops her telling her about his feelings and to choose him. And she tells him that it's too late and that she'll erase her feelings for him. Right now I'm kind of on Kikuchis side right now since he a sweet guy and he's trying his best and was willing to get into a relationship knowing the she likes somebody else and ''fights'' with her so she can forget those feelings. Kou had his chance before and he turned Yoshioka down.
